Accident Victim In Wheelchair Cries For Help To Fund Bone Surgery

A young lady, Gloria Nkennor, has cried out to well-meaning Nigerians to assist her with funds for a bone surgery she is required to do. Nkennor, a graduate of Delta State University, said she had an accident in November 2016 which cost her her lower and upper limbs. She said her family had taken her to various hospitals for treatment without a positive result. However, she said there was a positive change when she was taken to a hospital in Delta State after which she was able to lift her fingers. She said she was thereafter referred to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos where she was told she would need more funds for a surgery as she had already gathered N2. 3 million. She said, “I had an accident on November 11, 2016. I went job-hunting in Akwa Ibom so I stayed for like five days before I had the accident. I was unconscious for a while but when I regained consciousness, I realised that I had multiple fractures on both legs and both hands, the upper limbs and lower limbs. I have been going to different hospitals, taking trado-medicals. “I was taken to Delta state where they were able to work on me to some extent and I was able to lift my finger. Before now, I couldn t even lift the finger but they were able to do it to that point. “During the lockdown, I had to come back home. I was advised to go to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, which I went to and they recommended surgery and I had to do a CT scan. With the bill they gave me before, I had to come out to ask for funds, I got N2.3 million. By the time I got back, they were on nationwide strike, and the doctors couldn t look at it so I had to book an appointment with the head of the surgery unit, who told me it could be done but when he checked my CT scan, he noticed I had a lot of bone issues, where they would have to do bone-grafting. And some of my bones are close to my blood vessels, so I need more pints of blood. “The cost increased from N2.3 million to N3.4 million. I was able to come up with the N2.3 million, but right now, I m soliciting for about N1.4 million to be able to take care of the fresh bill given to me. “The doctor said the longer it stays, the more difficult it will become for them to work on me. It has been five years since I had the accident.” Her account details are published below: Account: 0001338624 Name: Gloria NKENNOR Bank: Access Bank Or through the link below. https://gofund.me/ecfe01b6 News AddThis : Original Author : Saharareporters, New York Disable advertisements :
