The Coalition of Orphanages and Children s Homes in Nigeria has requested that the federal government recognise orphanage operators as partners in caring for vulnerable children. The coalition said looking after orphans is a “shared responsibility” between homes and government, insisting that the state must stop distancing itself from the welfare of abandoned and vulnerable children.
